I got the same e-mail yesterday ( and only yesterday) , the day I listened to a biographical sketch about a mail-bomber, Theodore Kaczynski.
I subscribed to the USPS delivery notifications about a year ago.

There are a few reasons this can happen typically it’s either a magazine or larger envelope that cannot be processed using the machine that sorts your typical mail, or the images weren’t being uploaded. We have the second one happen a every once in awhile, the connection gets lost or they just don’t upload to the servers.

Started getting these when I moved. I didn’t know this was a thing. Kinda cool though.

I signed up for these as well - it’s nice to have! I’d say about 10% of the images they send are this, though.
